1. Rewind
Venus Cow says “The only way you will ever be free of your mistakes, is if you face your truth.”
The past has gone and you are left with no idea of the impact your behaviour has had on others. Facing your truth and by this I mean not just the things that make you look fantastic, caring and wonderful, I mean the things you are ashamed of, sets you free
Venus Cow says, “ It takes courage to be able to look at yourself and be critical.”
It is a fact in life, what we give out we attract back. If we are drunk, we are anesthetised and therefore hide behind the fact we don’t remember anything.
Venus Cow says “Drunks always finish last.”
It is a good exercise to rewind and reflect on a situation you vividly remember where you found yourself too drunk to remember. Once you have found this scenario, see yourself in a social situation with other people as an observer and imagine what is coming out of your mouth.
Drinking, drugs, over eating, sex can all be highly addictive. By rewinding your past, recognising you are not always in control of your actions or the person you don’t know, the drunk, the cheater, the liar, you will begin to see that clearing up the past makes way for the future to emerge.
Venus Cow says "It is better to take it on the chin now than wait until it is too late."
2. React
Venus Cow says, “The truth hurts.”
Because we don’t like our lives, which are carved out by tradition, the human condition, we end up creating fantasies and appetites to satisfy our misery. The cream cake you eat before you’ve even recognised you have eaten it even when you are supposed to be on another diet. The prince you married after the expensive two year build up to the happiest day of your life, (even though you were only a quarter of the way through it) who turned out to be a frog after all. The one night stand you convinced yourself was so into you that he couldn’t resist ripping your clothes off, who turned out to be a married man looking for another desperate woman.
Being miserable is like having heavy weights on your shoulders. By facing each truth you lighten the load and eventually your reaction turns to reflection. It is our ego we have to face, the thing that is there to protect us in our child state. It is only children who get away with murder, mayhem and mistakes because they are learning. To act like a child and throw your toys out of the pram because what you were not in control of blows up in your face, is really stupid when you are no longer a child. Learn not to react but to reflect before making any response.
Venus Cow says, “Don’t feel so bad, we all have skeletons locked in closets….somewhere!”
Reacting to your truth is a critical process of being freed of the guilt which will leave you feeling so much lighter as confession is cathartic. Only you sit in judgment of yourself.
3. Reflect
Venus Cow says, “It is time for some time for you.”
Reflecting has to be done alone as you will be feeling battered and bruised from your rewind. The best way to reflect is to be able to somehow see the patterns of your daily behaviour, the way you live your life. It is amazing to keep a personal journal that is private and time for you to be able to document and store all your work on yourself. Your journey with Venus Cow will be all about reflection. If you’ve been trying to lose weight for years, having tried every diet known to man, and you are still fat and have failed, you have to reflect and see the pattern. Recognising dieting does not work because it is unsustainable in every day life, your truth, it is time to change the record to change your life.
Starting a weight loss journal is the perfect way to keep on top of your goal until you create a sustainable lifestyle plan that will get you the body you desire.
Drinking two bottles of wine and expecting anybody to find you attractive is delusional, let alone horribly fattening. Taking a picture of yourself naked and fat, or pissed and pointless is a great way to start your journal, the key being to get away from the person that makes you cringe, as quickly as possible.
Once you have reflected, cringed, had a period of denial and justification, you will become addicted to creating the brand new you.
4. Respond
Venus Cow says, “Well Done.”
Responding to lifecoaching and instructions on how to overcome obstacles you had no idea even existed, because you only know what you know, is the secret to true happiness. We have to respond to ourselves. We have to give ourselves a good talking to. We have to express our defaults, face our demons and respond to them in a grown up way. You cannot respond to a diet because before you even start you know in the back of your mind it has never worked before. You have to learn to respond that you just have no self discipline, because in reality eating less is all it takes to be thin. You cannot respond to giving up drinking if drinking is your life because you cannot imagine what it would be like without it, even though you don’t remember it.
Venus Cow has created information based on common sense and brutal truth that is available as a free resource to help you reach your goals and create your journal to a new life. When you learn to respond to common sense your natural instincts will begin to work. You will learn that by responding with your truth, no thanks, I don’t want another drink, I love my life way too much to miss a moment of it, you will be on your way to being happy for real.
So no matter whether you are fat and want to be thin, drunk and want to be sober, single and want to be married, married and want to be single, unemployed and want employment, or just want to change anything about yourself or your behaviour Venus Cow will show you how.
Venus Cow says, “The only way out is through.”
